The gift of the Nile
The River Nile is the longest river in the world. It is 6,670 km long! Ancient Egyptians built their towns and cities along the river becouse the rest of the country was a very big hot desert. The Nile gave people water to drink and wash in. The banks of the Nile were very good places for farming.
